Bring Your Class to a One of a Kind Field Trip!

Looking for a creative and experiential field trip for you class. Bring them to Santa Cruz Maker Studios so they can learn real-world skills in how to bring their ideas to life with 3D printing, laser engraving, woodworking, sewing, and beading. We have age-specific curriculums and projects to hone new skills in making and fabrication.

🎨 Our available crafting stations for field trips include:
✔ 3D Printing & Laser Engraving– Projects include creating a custom 3D printed figurine and designing laser engravings for wood and metal.
✔ Woodworking – Projects include building you own hinged wooden box, chipmunk sized bench, or Minecraft-inspired animals.
✔ Sewing & Beading – Projects include sewing custom tote bags, stuffed animals, and beading unique jewelry.

🎉 What’s Included: (Base price $1400)
✔ 2.5 hour field trip with three personal instructors.
✔ Included 20-24 participants (ages 7+) for crafting projects. This does not include chaperons. We recommend one chaperons per five participants. (e.g. 4 chaperons for 20 participants)
✔ Exclusive access to our ~4,000 square foot studio space.
✔ All materials for a creative take-home project.
✔ Included all three crafting stations (woodworking or sewing/beading or 3D printing/laser engraving). Unless otherwise requested, this would include the ability for everyone to participate in 3D printing and laser engraving, and to have the choice of either 1) sewing/beading or 2) woodworking.

Additional Options:

➕ Extra Participants (beyond 25): $250 for each additional 5 people (max participants is 35)
➕ More Time: Additional 30 minutes (beyond 3 hours): $75 (maximum time of 4 hours).

📌 $100 non-refundable deposit required to book. Let us take care of the venue, instruction, and projects to help your class learn new amazing skills.

Field Trip Dates / Times

The best time to book 2.5-hour fields trips are Mondays/Tuesdays/Thursdays/Fridays from 9:00am – 11:30pm or 12pm – 2:30pm.

Please note that our After School Care Program is currently running from 3-5pm (Mon, Tue, Thurs.), 1-5pm (Wed), and 10am – 2pm on Sundays, between December 2025 – May 2026. During June and July, our Summer Camp hours will be 9:00am – 2:00pm, Monday through Friday. See our current calendar here.
